She stared over the cliff at the long drop for a moment, but was sill alert in case she should have to act quickly. She nickered darkly that almost sounded like hiss than a nicker. Shadow nodded as she listened to him speak of the cliff at which they stood. I use to have my dark victories in this dark forest full of tree, so that it was hard to move or escape. She smirked thinking of how the her foes would try to escape only to get impaled by a dead branch or she would suddenly jump out in front of them and scare them half to death. Her gaze went back to the drop, wondering what lie at the bottom, besides the skeletons of equines. Maybe there was a dark wasteland full of nothing but darkness and was a land with out any sign of hope.

Grudge thought of Shadow fighting and it brought a smirk to his face. He wanted to know what it would be like to watch a good fight that she was in. Probably not the same as one he would be engadged in, Grudge liked to extend the fight, and he never tired of a good blood thirst fight. So it was to his advantage. He usually liked to get his foe a severe wound in the begining of the fight so that they would tire more and more as the fight went on. And then he liked to end it with a bang, a good kill in one hit. By then it didn't take much of a hit to put them to their misery, but he still made the hit count. [x]Interesting[x] Grudge hissed, not trying to sound uninterested but his voice was bleek so he could not do otherwise. But, he knew it would not annoy the dark fea, it would probably take more to crack her shell. Like it would his, so he knew it would possibly be the same, but he still kept alert just incase he was wrong.

Shadow was caught up in her thoughts of the lands below, thinking probably that there was a wasteland with a pile of skeletons at the bottom. One day she would engage in a good fight here, and most likely win. Her fighting style was wear her foe out and then go out with a bang but letting her foe have a low and painful death, which she enjoyed to watch them suffer and sometimes she would do it quickly in an exciting finale. Rarely did she ever leave a foe alive, so she could torment them more later. She nodded at the sound of his voice, she didn't mind if he was interested or not, she had just wanted to break the silence.

Grudge grew bored looking down at the endless hole that lay beneath him and turned his haunches and started to walk away, he was done here. He turned his cranium slightly to give the mare the gesture that he wanted her to come along. He had liked this dark vix so far, she had proven no wrong to him, and he liked it no other way. After stopping for the slight moment he kept on moving the the thick shadows the lay thickly in the forest he traveled through all the time he had lived here. He knew them like the back of his hoof, and knew he always would. He would live here til his days ended and he intended to leave his life in a fight with a foe worth the feat. As he traveled through the dark at a brisk trot he didn't mind looking behind him for he knew the vix would follow, all of them did. They were a curious gender and never failed to prove that fact. Grudge saw the opening of the canopy that lay a nice distance from him and stopped to wait for the femme to come up beside him. He thought it only respectful to wait for a lady, a lady that would possibly one day be his lead.

Shadow was also growing bored of the ledge and the endless hole, though one day she would find some way down the ledge safely and figure out what was down there. It was just another way to challenge herself. At the gesture she gave the ledge one final look and began to follow him through the shadows. Even though she didn't;t know the forest all too well it was almost comforting to be in the dark where the right amount of light which was just enough to see by. Keeping up with his brisk trot Shadow wondered if maybe this was another test of some sort. Trotting up to his side Shadow stopped next to him and waited for him to decide what to do or where to go next, a bit of respect towards him on her part. Something she thought that she should due, after all she extended respect where she see fit.

Grudge heard the vix pull up beside him and he merely just went on once again with his brisk trot not minding to ask her where she wished to go. He knew what he wanted and that was what he would do and what he had always done. He grew nearer to the opening of the canopy, when he plunged through to the opening of light his eyes adjusted faster this time. He led on after a slight moment for his eyes to reajust. [x]Come.[x] He whispered still looking forward, he was leading to where he resided. It was his own little way of taking in a mare and starting his own heard. Speachless, is what he thought of it. And many mares went for it so, it worked with him, he was a brute of little words. Once he got to the destination of a cave that looked as if it had been a residing for a huge black bear perhaps he stopped and waited for her to catch up and hopefully get what he was hinting on. As he waited he pawed at the hard dirt below him in impatience. He didn't like to wait.

Stopping for a brief secound as soon as Grudge picked back up Shadow did as well. Following him she wouldn have asked where he was going, but remained quiet thinking it would be better if she didn't know and found out once she got there. Looking at the opening she went through it, quickly adjusting to the light even though she would have perferd to stay in the shadows. At his command to come she picked up the pace a little, but not enough to pass him up. Shadow soon trotted n and stopped by his side and looked at the cave it did look fearsome but she didn't mind. It that was home it was home and she couldn't change that. Arching her neck she looked around real quick and waited, something she seemed to do a lot of.

Grudge knew that clearly this mare didn't mind entering this forsaken cave, it did look quit intimidating and that was what he liked about it. It had a dark edge to it, and it was as dark as it could get around this time of day. [x]I will only say this once, I am inviting you to start a herd with me. And even possibly be my lead, I haven't decided that yet.[x] Grudge whispered knowing it would possibly be hard for the dark vix to hear his words, it was hard to ask such a question, even for a dark. But, he got over it and did it anyway, it had to be done. He took long slow breaths while he waited for the fea's answer. He didn't quit mind what she answered, but cared anofe to stay and find out, and that was saying something. He usually just mounted the mare and got it over with, he possibly had 100s of foals out there somewhere. He just needed a mare that would stay with him and start a whole herd with him. If he didn't he would already be done with this vix, he would have been done a long time ago. Though he continued to waited he stomed his back hoof to show that he was annoied at waiting any longer and wanted an answer right away....

Shadow nodded to him reaming silent, she wanted to be in his herd and be his lead mare. Well then I would gladly join your herd and become your lead, should you think it wise. She hissed the question to him after hearing what he said. She also wondered if there was going to be a test of some kind to see if she was a worthy lead. It didn't matter if there was she would handle anything he threw at her. If he asked her to she would stay and start a whole herd with him. Listening to him stop his hind hoof with impatience she just looked at him, wondering if he was like most dark stallions she had met. They all wanted to breed and continue there bloodlines as soon as they got a new mare in there herd.

Grudge knew that this mare would have to wait to be bred by him. Any mare that got bred by him should think of that as a privladge, not as if he liked to mount their mud covered barrels. Only on a rare occasion would another mare beside his lead get mounted by him. He liked to leave that privladge to his lead and only his lead. He didn't quit care who mounted his other mares, but his lead was his for as long as he wished. They only left his side when told to, and that was how things were in his mind. Everything that he wanted was his. He knew that this mare would be tested and he had planned to do it soon, to prove her worthy of leading beside him. [x]Go get mounted and come back to me when you hold a foal in your stomach.[x] He looked at Shadow straight in the face while he spoke showing no emotion. Hoping that she wouldn't pick up on the plan, he had in mind. He turned around after a good 5 minutes and walked into his ebon cave to wait and see what the dark vix did.
((ooc:: since there are no other stags just come in the cave, the test was to see if you would stay loyal to him and stay with him instead of going and getting mounted.))
